It is a lovely 16th century pub in the Bladon village, near Woodstock in Oxfordshire. Recently moved to Bladon myself. We were offered the extensive menu, especially for late afternoon, which included sandwiches and jackets, along with some main dishes and three choices of roast dinners. Warm welcome, and most important family friendly! What more could you ask for?
1 Grove Road, Bladon, Woodstock OX20 1RQ, England. Was looking forward to a Sunday roast, not even on the menu!!! We recently visited The White House for sunday lunch, which I must say was quite possibly the worst sunday lunch we have ever had!.

1 Grove Road, Bladon, Woodstock OX20 1RQ, England. Bar, British, Pub, Vegetarian Friendly, Gluten Free Options. Really friendly and helpful guy on the Sunday roast. Near the Bladon Gate entrance to Blenheim Palace & opposite the 10 reviews Very disappointed to find the White House no longer caters for the locals.
Share this venue. What a great refurb! We only stopped for drinks. I can only imagine how it was there during the games when England played in the World Cup.
Many thanks we will be back. I went in on Thursday with friends for steak night and it was really good: the steak was cooked to perfection, the garnish salad was really fresh, nice onion rings and chunky chips.

It does look like they have some delicious sounding vegetarian options.

From being a run-of-the-mill pub with dart boards, TV's etc, it is now a very pleasant establishment targeting the more clientele who apreciate tasteful decor and good food together with an intimate and very friendly atmosphere. What a find this pub was! About Me. Where have our Churchill pictures gone? I can honestly say I have never been out for a meal and only been able to have a main course.

They mention on the website that the food is locally sourced as much as possible, cooked from fresh, and with a changing menu according to season.
Follow on Instagram. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the Speckled Hen ale came from an obviously very well kept cellar. The staff are really friendly and they welcome dogs to the pub which is a plus in Oxfordshire. Have also had takeaway fish and chips - beautifully light and not oily! We called in last night for food and were greeted by a really friendly, polite landlord.

Recent winner of the Best Village Pub Award, the pub has traditional British food at reasonable prices. They have a good size car park and outdoor seating too. The White House pub has changed hands recently.

A village pub should be where the villagers can gather and play darts, pool, bar billiards or cards, sing songs, have a good gossip and a laugh, not somewhere that just caters for those who have money.
